OAKLAND -- Dorothy Lucille (Martin) Tibbs, age 88, of Hindsboro, IL, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at her daughter's home.
Dorothy was born January 20, 1926 in Douglas County, IL to Wayne and Hazel (Trimble) Martin. She married Cloyd Tibbs on March 29, 1948 in Flora IL. She was a homemaker and an Avon Representative for 40 years. She was a member of the Antioch Separate Baptist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and a longtime member of the Bunco Club. Dorothy enjoyed league bowling and was an avid fan of Oaks and Titans sports. She also enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball, playing cards at the Oakland Senior Center and dancing in her younger years.
