He married Linda Faye Bourrage, the daughter of Jerry Bourrage and Carrie Estelle Grant Bourrage, who was also a native of DeKalb, Kemper County, MS. Their union were blessed with one child, a son. He was the step father of two step children, both step sons.
He was a United States veteran where he served his country during the Vietnam Conflict via the United States Air Force. He received an Honorable Discharge and also served in the Mississippi Air National Guard. He was also a construction worker.
After reaching young adulthood, he moved to Davenport, Scott County, IA, and lived there for several years until he moved back to DeKalb, MS where he lived until his death.
He died Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Jackson, Hinds County, MS, at the age of 66.
