James Blamire, Former Shaft Engineer, Dies
James Blamire, 83, former shaft engineer for the Hudson Coal Company, died at 4:20 yesterday afternoon at the Sutton Home, 57 West Jackson Street, where he had been a guest since May, 1939.
Mr. Blamire was born in England, the son of Elizabeth and James Blamire, and had resided in this section since coming to the United States in 1890. His wife was the former Mary Stephenson, Parsons, who died in 1935. He was a member of Parsons Primitive Methodist Church.
Surviving are two children, Harry Blamire, 22 Stucker Avenue, and Mrs. Helen Smith, 500 South Main Street, Parsons section.
Funeral will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 with services in charge of Rev. Thomas W. Jones of Parsons P. M. Church. Interment will be in Mt. Greenwood Cemetery.
