James "Jimmy" Snow was born in 1816 in Tennessee and died May 13, 1894, in DeKalb COunty, Tennessee. On January 19,1843, in DeKalb County, Tennessee, he married Elizabeth G. Parker, by Gilbert Williams, Esq. William Braswell and John Davis were witnesses. They spent their lives on Dry Creek in DeKalb County,TN. where Jimmy was a farmer for many years. By 1874 he was ordained as a Primitive Baptist preacher, and in his late years he served as pastor of a church on Jones's Fork ( between Indian Creek & Holmes's Creek) and of the Mt. View Church of Young Bend. Jimmy & Elizabeth "Lizzie" Snow had 13 children born during the next 22 years.
Their children were all born on Dry Creek, DeKalb County,TN.
William L. Snow born August 29,1843 died in infancy.
Ebenezer Snow, 6 May 1845-11 November,1904. He married Nancy C. Anderson
Samuel Snow, 7 Oct. 1846-4 May 1922 , 3 wives, Ailsey Adamson, Katie Cripps and Samantha Cantrell.
James Madison Snow, 17 Feb. 1848-29 May 1923 in Collinsville, Texas. he married George Ann Moser.
Mahala Snow, 9 Jan 1850-died in infancy.
Francis Marion Snow, 30 April,1851-16 June, 1838 in Grayson, Texas, married Sarah Ann Keaton.

Mary Elizabeth Snow, 3 Oct. 1854-11 Feb.1917 she married Phillip Bruno Bluhm on 29 Jan,1878,23 Dec.1854-23 June,1891. After Bruno's death, she married in 1897 to William F. Askew.
Talitha Snow, 25 Sep.1856 died in infancy.
Eliza Ethel "Bertie" Snow, 9 April 1858-June 1933. She married 15 Feb.1880 to Daniel Powers Moser, brother to George Ann Moser that married her brother Matt.
Susie C. Snow, 23 Jan. 1860-1942 . She married Elijah Vanatta
Erastis Hatfied 'Eric' Snow,12 Aug.1862-26 July 1947 in Sulpher Springs, Texas
Henry Lee Snow, 9 July 1865-15 Feb. 1929 in Littleton, Texas .
Jimmy Snow died of a heart ailment on May 18,1894, at his home on Dry Creek. Elizabeth died nine years later. Both are buried in the Snow Cemetery on the hill opposite their home, in the Dry Creek area. Neither have tombstones.
