Virginia M. Hug (nee Roane), age 96, born on December 7, 1920 to the late James Roane and Marion (nee Sanders) O'Neill in Chicago, IL, and passed away on February 26, 2017.
Virginia was the beloved wife of the late Bruce Patterson and former wife of Edward J. Hug Jr. (deceased); loving mother of Edward J. III (Ruth), Dale R. (Cynthia), and James P. (Stacie); cherished grandmother of Ryan, Adam (Courtney), Gregory (Jacqueline), Mark, Anthony, Vincent, Trina (Thomas) Cage, Dominic, Jessica, Alex, and Jason; adored great grandmother of Makayla; sister of James Roane (LaVerne) (both deceased).
She worked for both the Cuyahoga County Auditor and Treasure's Office.
Ginny liked to garden and ice skate, but most of all she loved her family.
Funeral mass will be 9:30a.m, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at St. John Vianney Parish, 7575 Bellflower Road Mentor.
Family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Jakubs-Waite Funeral Home, 36000 Lakeshore Blvd., Eastlake.
Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, OH.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
