LeAnna Barkman, 56, of Millersburg, died at 7:15 am on Tuesday, February 21, at her residence. She was born on October 15, 1960 in LaGrange County, to Mahlon M. and Lydia Mae (Yoder) Bontrager. On April 24, 1979 she married Levi P. Barkman, he survives. Survivors in addition to her husband are three daughters, Loretta (Dennis) Miller of Shipshewana, Linda (Henry) Miller and Luann (Jason) Hershberger both of Millersburg; five sons, LaMar Barkman of Middlebury, Lavon (Grace) Barkman and Johnathon (Lora) Barkman both of Millersburg, Lynn Ray (Dora) Barkman of Shipshewana, Jacob Barkman of Millersburg; 11 grandchildren; her father Mahlon Bontrager of Shipshewana; three sisters, Etta Fern (Marvin H.) Yoder of Goshen, Velda (Jerry E.) Wingard and Rosemary (Orva Jr.) Hostetler both of Topeka; five brothers, Ernest (Martha) Bontrager of Topeka, Ervin (Erma) Bontrager, Dannie (Rosa) Bontrager and Orla (Carolyn) Bontrager all of Shipshewana, Elva Lee Bontrager of Middlebury; three step sisters and two step brothers. She was preceded in death by her mother, brother, Norman Bontrager and step
mother, Edna (Mast) Miller. She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Wednesday February
22, and all day Thursday, February 23, at the family residence, 11300 W. 700 S. Millersburg. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Friday, February 24, also at the family residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Marlin Miller and the home ministers. Burial will be in Grace Haven Cemetery, Millersburg.
