Julie Elaine Hegbloom, 86

Julie Elaine Hegbloom, 86, of Mullan, Idaho, passed away February 26, 2017 at the Kindred Nursing & Rehabilitation- Mountain Valley of Kellogg, Idaho. She was born October 11, 1930 in Cataldo, Idaho; Julie was the daughter of Charles and Winnie Mae (Whitney) Reel.

Julie had attended high school in the Cataldo/Rose Lake area; and then later in life had attended the North Idaho Junior College of Coeur d’ Alene.

Julie had left the Silver Valley for a time for Auburn WA, later married Dean Cody about 1955 or 56, and together, they moved to Wallace in 1956. Julie and Dean later divorced after 19 years.

Julie then married the love of her life, Jerry L. Hegbloom in the Summer of 1976 in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.

Julie was a wonderful homemaker and seamstress. She was one of the very first Certified Nurses Aide to work at the Mountain Valley Care & Rehabilitation of Kellogg; and she had also served as a surgical tech at the Providence Hospital of Wallace and the East Shoshone Hospital of Silverton.

Julie loved and enjoyed her family, embroidery, sewing, quilting and making blankets; she also really enjoyed her computer.

Julie is survived by her husband Jerry L Hegbloom of the family home of Mullan, Idaho; two children Wynn “Jacque” and Francis Cleland of Butte, Montana and Judy Elaine and Grant Wilson of Lebanon, Oregon; four step-children Gary Hegbloom of Silverton, Idaho, Gregg Hegbloom of Mullan, Idaho, Glenn Hegbloom of Spokane, Washington and Gayle Hegbloom of Cottonwood, Idaho; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters Christine Alexander of Brush Prairie, Washington and Bessie Sparhawk of Estacada, Oregon; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Julie was preceded in death by her parents, one son Rodney “Kip” Cody, seven brothers and three sisters.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017, at 1:00 P.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel of Kellogg with Rev. Ken Bartle officiating. Interment will be held at the Mountain View Cemetery of Mullan.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the charity of the Donor’s choice.
