Katherine Holbert Barnett, 83, of Duncan, SC, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017.

Born July 23, 1933 in Polk County, NC, daughter of the late William Jacob and Maude Sue Pack Holbert; wife of the late Clyde Lee Barnett.

Member of Duncan First Baptist Church; retired from Sears and Roebuck after 22 years of service.

Survivors include two daughters, Myra Wynn of Duncan, and Karen Goforth and husband Patrick of Simpsonville; a brother, Raymond Holbert of Columbus; a sister, June Smisor of Columbus,NC; five grandchildren, Paula Swaney, Megan Foster, Katie Day, April Calliham, and Bill Goforth; 9 great grandchildren, Alix Reville, Sean Swaney, Charlie and Harper Foster, Jayden Whiteside, Caysin White, Colt Day, and Trevor and Tucker Calliham; and a great-grand daughter, Karolyn Reville.

Predeceased by a son, Neil Barnett; five sisters, Ethel Cochran, Jeanette Freeman, Mildred Horne, Shirley McEntyre and Virgie Feagan; and two brothers, William and Thaxton Holbert.

A memorial service was held at 4:00 pm Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at The Stribling Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Foster officiating.

The family received friends from 3:00-4:00 pm prior to the service.
