On September 4, 1919 he married Hortense Olga Standley in Norborne.
Mr. Wright was a retired attorney from Newton, Kansas. He was a member of the Temple Lodge 209, The Orient Chapter 102 and the Oriental Command 35 in Kansas City.
Surviving Mr. Wright is his wife, Hortense O. Wright; a daughter, H. Elizabeth Wright; a son George Goodson Wright Jr.; and a grand daughter Georgia Anne Wright all of Port Charlotte.
Funeral services were held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church in Port Charlotte with The Reverend Henry Stout officiating. Serving as pallbearers: Berry Stewart, Floyd Hoskins, Homer Cox, Roy Gray, Cyril F. Flake Jr., and Robert King.
Internment at Fairhaven Cemetery, Norborne, MO. Arrangements were under the direction of Edward R. Ponga Funeral Home in Punta Gorda, Florida.
