Dwayne Ray Harris, 58, passed away at the Iowa River Hospice House surrounded by his family on February 24, 2017.

A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday February 28, 2017 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. with Pastor Harlan Nuss officiating.

Dwayne was born on March 24, 1958 to the parents of Marlin and Doris (Anderson) Harris in Marshalltown, Iowa. Dwayne received his education from the Marshalltown School System and on completion he began working for Vis Construction. Dwayne loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and could always put a smile on their faces. In his free time Dwayne enjoyed watching Duck Dynasty and Youtube videos. On nice days he would take his Cadillac out for a quick drive with his children and grandchildren singing the whole time. Dwayne was a family first man, and that can be shown in his love for his children and grandchildren.

Left to cherish Dwayne’s memory are mother Doris, brother Ron Harris, children Breauna Harris, Brittany Harris (Davis), Lisa Harris, Letitia, Michele Ervin, and Jennifer Ferguson, grandchildren Davian Bennett, Jamarcus Gully, Deja Gully,.

Dwayne is proceeded in death by his son Tyler Duff, sisters Cheryl Paris and Kathy Bolle and his father Marlin.
