IN LOVING MEMORY

Jesse was a Boy Scout and loved to sing in the choir when he attended Monroe High School during his school years. He was born in Speedwell, Tennessee on October 12, 1934 to his parents David and Flossie (Laws) Braden. He married Claudine Bolton of Harlan, Kentucky on May 12,1952. They would have five children. Four sons and a daughter, Gary, Denny, Jeffrey, Rodney, and Sonya.

Jesse loved tinkering on cars and was quite the backyard mechanic. This would lead him to opening and owning two Monroe Mobil Service Stations in Monroe, Monroe County, Michigan. One station was on Dunbar and Telegraph Roads and the other at Telegraph and Front Streets. He would take employment later at the Ford Motor Company in Milan, Michigan as an assembler where he worked twenty-two years before his retirement. Retirement came in 2000 from Ford's, but Jesse always kept busy taking care of his yard on Winchester Street, and was quite proud that it was the nicest looking yard on the street. He was Papaw to his twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and his one great-grand child.

Jesse had a great sense of humor, liked to tell jokes, and was known as the family prankster. He was loving and caring and was always there when comfort was needed.

Aged 82 years

Jesse Harold Braden died of natural causes on a Saturday, February 25, 2017 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents David and Flossie Braden, a sister Mary Lee Braden, and uncle Cawood Laws. His memory was cherish by his wife of sixty-five years, Claudine Bolton Braden, his five children, one brother, and one sister.

Jesse was laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, LaSalle Township, Monroe County, Michigan.
