Mary Anna Brubaker, 85, of East Earl, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 16, 2017. Born in the Welsh Mountains February 9, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Willis and Alice (Stanley) Diem. She was preceded in death by her sister Janet Weaver, her daughter Susan Brubaker, and grandson Aaron Fritz.

Married to James Brubaker, Mary Anna was a devoted farmer's wife of 66 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She worked in the cafeteria at Brecknock Elementary School for 28 years. She was a member of Bethany E.C. Church in Martindale for 60 years where she served in various capacities including primary superintendent, primary teacher, class leader, steward, and vice-president of Bethany Missionary Outreach.

She welcomed many people to her home. She was a caregiver to relatives, foster children, and sponsored several Vietnamese refugee families. Mary Anna was always sensitive and responsive to people's needs.

She is survived by her daughters Linda (wife of John Hanlon, Jeffersonville, PA), Holly (wife of John Slegowski, Reading, PA), Patti (wife of Lamar Lutz, Indian Trail, NC), and a foster daughter Hoa (wife of Dien Buu, York, PA).

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 4th at Shady Maple, 129 Toddy Drive, East Earl, PA.
