Iowa City, April 13, 1903
George Abner Showers, age 6 years 7 months, son of A. B. and Minnie Showers, died at the family residence at 413 South Dubuque yesterday morning at 10:30 o'clock. The lad had been ill but a week with typhoid pneumonia. The funeral was held from the residence this afternoon and interment in the McCollister vault in Oakland cemetery. The many friends of the bereaved parents will join with them in mourning the loss of a life which had so many of lifes bright years before it.
