Ruth E. Bevins, 67, of Camp Dix, Ky., died Saturday, Jan. 18, 1882, at Southern Ohio Medical Center after a long illness.
Born Aug. 4, 1924, in Logan, W.Va., a daughter of the late Archie Nelson and Nancy Bryant Riley, she was a member of Mosby Community Church, where she served as treasurer.
Surviving are her husband, Willard Bevins, whom she married Apri1 10, 1940, at Maysville, Ky.; two sons, Larry Bevins of Leipsic and Tim Bevins of Camp Dix; five daughters Wanda Davidson and Mrs. Michael (Judy) Roselle, both of Findlay, Mrs. Earnie (Pat) Kilgore of Camp Dix, Mrs. Jerry (Nancy) Scott of Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs. Tim (Barb) Skinner of Lexington, Ohio; a brother, Russell Riley of White Castle, La.; a half brother, John Dempsey Thompson of Anderson, Ind., a sister, June Hollis of Findlay; two half sisters, Cophiene Terry of Garrison, Ky., and Lobena Frost of Aberdeen; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by three half brothers.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mosby Community Church, Straight Creek, Camp Dix, with Brothers Kenneth Cooley and Tony Corns officiating, and interment in Mosby Cemetery.
Friends may call at Gaydos Funeral Home in Vanceburg, Ky., from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday.
