Mr. Higbee was preceded in death by his parents, J.E. “Dutch” and Anna Mae Chapman Higbee; and a brother, Jim Higbee. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Russell Higbee; four children, Mike (Leona) Higbee, Leitchfield, KY, Mark (Terrie) Higbee, Bonita Springs, Tim (Jeana) Higbee, Wilmore, KY and Kayla Higbee, Danville, KY; two sisters, Joyce Ann “Sue” (Stan) Corum, Pleasureville, KY, Betty (Kenneth) Darnall, Brandenburg, KY; three grandchildren, Janet Lynn Reed, Mauckport, IN, Kirk and Cody Higbee, both of Radcliff, KY; three great grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday from the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Barry Darnall officiating. Burial will follow in Garnettsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM on Tuesday; and after 9:00 AM on Wednesday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Kosair Charities.
