She was born January 17, 1917 the daughter of Wilbur Chapman and Ella Mae Beeler Chapman.
One son, James R. Higbee preceded her in death on September 29, 1973.
She is survived by her husband, John E. "Dutch" Higbee; three children, Mrs Kenneth (Betty) Darnall, Mrs Stanley (Joyce Ann) Corum and Mr John W. Higbee; two sisters, Mrs Joe Nall and Mrs Bill Medley; two brothers, Richard Chapman and Arthur Chapman.
