A native of Wilkes, NC, son of Namon Leonard Dixon (1910-1982) and Josie Viola Horton Dixon (1914-1979).
A truck driver, a longtime construction worker, and attended Northbrook Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa Annette Henderson Dixon; son, Donnie Dixon; two daughters, Angeline Jones and Denise Vojtowicz; stepsons, John Oliver, Michael Oliver, and Richard Oliver brothers, R.L. Dixon and Charles Dixon; twin sister, Mary D. Mason; sister, Becky McDowell; and two grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 7:00 - 9:00 pm, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel.
Graveside services were held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, at Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens, conducted by Rev. James W. Crocker.
Memorials could be made to Spartanburg Animal Shelter and Humane Society, Spartanburg, SC or to Vista Care Hospice, Greenville, SC.
