Donald "Don" Brazeal (Mansfield)

Donald Herbert Brazeal, son of Peter John and Rettie May Findley Brazeal, was born May 4, 1930 in Mansfield, Missouri and departed this life on February 24, 2017 in Webco Manor in Marshfield, Missouri at the age of eighty-six years, nine months and twenty days.
In October of 1949, he was united in marriage to Wilma Marie McCoy and to this union three children were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wilma on June 23, 2008; brother, Walter; sister, Arletta; grandson, Marc Brazeal, and brother-in-law, Chester “Chet” Greene.
Don is survived by a son, Donnie Brazeal of Mansfield, Missouri; two daughters, Margaret Houska of Niangua, Missouri and Judy White of Ozark, Missouri; four grandchildren, Annetta Houska, Amanda Hoaglin, Michael Houska and Randall White; ten great-grandchildren, Jack Brazeal, Brooke Hoaglin, Marc Brazeal, Jacob Houska, Isabella Hoaglin, Kaitlyn White, Mackenzie White, Kayla Houska, Alec Patterson and Emma Patterson; sister, Imogene Greene of Mansfield; nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
Don was born and raised in Mansfield and worked on the farm with his dad while growing up. On March 16, 1953, he began working for Kraft Foods at the Mansfield location and retired from the Springfield plant in the late 1980’s. He later worked for many years at the Bank of Mansfield. He was a member of Mansfield Lodge #543 A.F. & A.M. and had been a member of the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine.
In his spare time he enjoyed going to their lake property and spending as much time there as possible.
Don was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and are at peace knowing his battle with Alzheimer’s is over.
