On February 21, 2017, heaven gained another angel. Shawn Eric Johnson, age 49, of Oklahoma City, OK passed away unexpectedly at OU Medical Center.
Shawn was born on November 26, 1967 in San Luis Obispo, CA. He called California his home until he moved to Madill, OK in 2003. On June 19, 2004, Shawn married his best friend and the love of his life, Patty K. Johnson (Smith). In 2008 they relocated to the OKC area, where he became employed with CRST International, Inc. until his death. Shawn was a very loving and doting husband and made Patty his life. He had an amazing relationship with his sister-in-law Katrinka Adams and was like a second dad to his nephews, Kameron and Kasey Adams. Shawn had a wonderful extended family that he loved spending time with. Shawn loved the military and served in the US Army, as well as doing military contract work all over the world with Raytheon. He was a diesel mechanic by trade, enjoyed reading and spending time with their beloved dog, Mia, along with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Johnson. He is survived by his wife Patty Johnson and fur daughter Mia, both of the home, his children, Shane and Lacey Johnson of Madill, OK, and his extended family and friends.
Shawn was one of a kind and loved by all. If you didnβt like Shawn, there was something wrong with you. He made you laugh when you wanted to cry and would line you out when he thought you needed it. He will be missed by all. We are thankful and truly blessed that God allowed us to be a part of his life.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City, OK.
