Mr. Bobby Joe West, age 84, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away at his residence on Friday morning, February 24, 2017. He was born January 9, 1933 in Carroll County, Georgia, the son of the late William McCurdy West and the late Parrie Holmes West. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in the Korean Conflict; and retired as owner-operator of a West TV Shop. He was a member of the the Carrollton Congregational Holiness Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Dorothy Bartlett; brothers, Mack West and Ike West; and son-in-law, Michael Landes. Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years, Martha Jean Gresham West of Carrollton; daughter, Pamela Landes of Carrollton; son, Butch West, also of Carrollton; half-brother, William "Billy" West of Florida; three grandchildren: Jennifer & Andy Pittman, Amanda & Michael Rickles, and Kimberly & Matthew McClure; and five great grandchildren: Savannah & Drew Pittman, Bryson & Gage McClure, and Harlow Rickles. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 27, 2017 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Cook, Rev. Jimmy Bryan, Rev. Curtis Holloway, and Rev. Jeff Maxwell officiating. Flag presentation will be under the direction of the United States Air Force. Interment will follow in Banning Church of God Cemetery.
