NOTED LYNWOOD CLERIC SUCCUMBS
A pioneer resident of Lynwood who took an active part in the growth of that city, Rev. Eli Louis Latchaw, died at his home, 4330 Lugo avenue, late Tuesday evening after an illness of several months.
Rev. Latchaw was connected with the Angeles Abbey mausoleum at the time of his death. Born in Barkeyville, Pa., Rev. Latchaw was 85 years old. He moved to Lynwood in 1926.
He is survived by his widow, a son Ross P., of Ida Grove, Iowa, and a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Crawford of Inglewood. He was a member of the Los Angeles Presbytery for six years.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Angeles Abbey mausoleum, directed by Wheat-Halverson Funeral home, Rev. Dr. George M. Rourke will read the last rites.
