Private First Class Stanley Horton was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army, PFC Horton served our country until September 20th, 1967 in Binh Dinh, South Vietnam. He was 20 years old and was not married. It was reported that Stanley died from drowning. His body was recovered. Stanley was born on May 2nd, 1947 in Castalia, North Carolina. PFC Horton is on panel 26E, line 096 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for one year.
He was the son of Mr Jonah & Addie Vines Horton, Route #1, Box 276, Castalia, NC.
He served with the 1098th Transportation Company(Medium Boat), 159th Transportation Battalion, 5th Transportation Command, United State Army Support Command Qui Nhon, 1st Logistics Command, USARV.
He was awarded The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal.
