2/1/1949 - 1/21/2017 age 67, of Jackson passed away on January 21, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter E. and Mary J.(Griswald) Briggs, Jr; mother-in-law, Ruby L. McCabe; and her sister, Rose M. Miles, who joined her in heaven the following day Jan 22nd, 2017. She is survived by her husband, Russell Earl McCabe Sr.; daughter, Theresa (Anthony) Magiera and their daughter; Alexandra; sons, Russell E. McCabe Jr. and his children; Carol (Eric) Scholl, Acely McCabe, Gage Gregory, Devon McCabe, and Remington McCabe, and his grandchildren Lena's Great Grandchildren, Chloee, Kenzingten, and Alexander; and John P. McCabe and his children; Jordan, Nick, and Penny McCabe; sisters; Dianne Cornwell and Karen Klickner; brothers, Michael Briggs and Walter Briggs III; and sister-in-law's, Sandy (Robert) Locke and Patricia (Michael) Kilburn; and many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by many. And was loved by all who knew her. A celebration of her life will be held at Oak Chapel Mausoleum in Hillcrest Memorial Park from 11 a.m. to noon, on Monday, January 30, 2017. With a luncheon to follow at The Salvation Army Church 806 E Pearl St, Jackson, MI 49201. In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation be made to the American Cancer Society in Lena's memory.
