HERRIN -- Effie H Sullivan, 96, of 1901 N 13th, Herrin, Ill., died at 8:25 a.m. Friday, March 29, 1996, at Shawnee Christian Nursing Home in Herrin, Ill.

Mrs Sullivan formerly worked as an office secretary.

She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Herrin and the Herrin Senior Citizens.

She was born Feb 18, 1900 in Glasgow, Scotland to Thomas and Mary(Latti) Henderson.

She married Eulis Sullivan. He died Sept 10, 1981.

Surviving are on daughter, Mary Lou McKay of New Mexico; five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and one sister Vera Trichael of Sacramento, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughter, Pat Curlee and Betty Duncan, two sons, Jack and Bill Armstrong, her parents and a brother, Thomas Henderson.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today, March 30, 1996 at Herrin City Cemetery in Herrin, Ill. the Rev W. W Childers will officiate. Entombment will follow. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 today at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin, Ill
