Mrs Betty Jane Duncan, 42, 2607 E Marion St., East Gary, Ind, and former Herrin resident, died Friday in Methodist Hospital, Gary.

She was born Dec 30, 1917, in West Frankfort. She was married to John R Duncan in Herrin in 1933.

She was a member of the Christian Church.

She leaves her husband, daughters Mrs William Bennett of Hobart, Ind, Mother, Mrs E R Sullivan of Rt1 Herrin, Step-father, E R Sullivan, sisters Mrs Frank Curlee of Willow Springs, Mrs Ray MCCay of Portland, Ore and brother Billie Armstrong of Bette, Mont.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home, where friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday. the Rev Wallace Curlie, Herrin Second Baptist Church pastor will officiate.

Burial will be in Herrin City Cemetery.
