Elizabeth N. Elmore, 79 of Smiths Station, AL passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services will be held 4:00 P.M. Thursday, February 23, 2017 in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City with Rev. Barry Danner officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mrs. Elmore was born April 22, 1937 in Houston County, Alabama; daughter of the late Charles Foster Newsome and Ira Mae Odom Newsome. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church and was retired from Dolly Madison after 26 years of service. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Elmore, three sisters and three brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Fussell and husband, Dave of Phenix City, AL, grandson, Joe Williams and wife Chelsea of Salem, AL, granddaughter, Lindsey Struble and husband Jeff of Smiths Station, AL, great grandchildren, Kacie Elizabeth Price, Dylan Price and Mikayla Struble; brother, Glenn Newsome of Coffee Springs, AL, sister, JoAnne Brazell and husband Ted of Phenix City, AL, many nieces and nephews.
