Santa Clara, California, passed away April 9, 2002 at Skyline Health Center, San Jose, California after an extended illness.
He was born on September 7, 1917 in Savona, New York to Cora Belle and Jay Woodward. His parents and two sisters, Ruth Viselli and Ila Moore predeceased him.
Roland leaves behind two sisters, Louise (Richard) Wright oF Tavares, Florida and Marie (Thomas) Young of Greenville, Pennsylvania and one brother, Francis (Irene) Woodward oF Lindley, New York, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Roland graduated from Painted Post High School in 1935 and from Syracuse University in 1939 with a degree in Engineering. He worked at Ingersoll Rand, Painted Post for 25 years before moving to California in 1966 where he was a resident until his passing.
