Funeral services for Milton Gilbert, 16 years old, Dexter Youth, who died in a hospital here yesterday after a two weeks illness, were held this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock in the Dexter Methodist Church. Burial followed in Northview Cemetery, here.
Holland-Dowell Funeral Home was in charge and Rev. C.C. Long officiated.
Surving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.F. Gilbert; four sisters, Mrs. Irving Montford, Dublin; Mrs Morris Waites, Kissimee, Fla.; Mrs Warren Witherington, Chester, and Miss Jean Gilbert, Dexter; five brothers, Buck and G. H. Gilbert, Eastman; Corliss Gilbert, Hawaii, and Jack and Phil Gilbert, Dexter, and his grandmother, Mrs. S.M. Gilbert of Columbus.
Active pallbearers, were Clay Lee, Wendell Montford, Thomas Methvin, Hue Witherington, W. H. Faircloth, Felix Dawkins, Harry Jolley and Kirkland Jolley. A honorary escort included
