ROCHESTER -- The funeral for Lila V. Meshke will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Rochester, with the Rev. Linda Helberg officiating. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Mrs. Meshke, 87, of Rochester, died of natural causes Saturday (Jan. 20, 2007) at Saint Marys Hospital.
Lila Hatlestad was born June 2, 1919, in Ostrander. She was a Mayo Clinic employee and had lived in Rochester since 1956. Her first husband, Clifford Bruce, died in 1973.
On April 17, 1982, she married Ray Meshke in Rochester; he survives. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Elks Lodge and Eagles Club, and was a past member of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester, and an hour before the service Wednesday at the church.
