COPPERAS COVE,TX--Robert Waldo Anders, age 94, of Copperas Cove, formerly of Muncie, IN, died Thursday, February 9, 2017 in Copperas Cove.
He was born on January 28, 1923 in Warren, IN, to Silbert and Mary (Stemen) Anders. Robert proudly served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. He married Norma Jean Anders on April 28, 1948 in Muncie, IN. Robert was a Methodist. He had an associate degree in business and was the owner of a furniture store.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Anders.
He will be greatly missed by his three daughters, Karen Greer of Copperas Cove, Sally Bird of Swansea, IL, and Jan Tuttle of Muncie, IN; his six grandchildren; his eleven great-grandchildren; and his six great-great-grandchildren.
Services for Robert will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Kileen, TX. Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple, TX is entrusted with the arrangements.
