Beverly June Ford passed away Monday, February 13, 2017 at her home in De Kalb, Texas. She was 78. She was born August 31, 1938, in Sioux City, Iowa, to John F. and Esther E. Brasch Minnig.

On October 9, 1987, she was married to Robert Gene Ford in Hooks, Texas. She was retired from Red River Army Depot, where she was a purchasing and contracting administrator and was a member of Cross Power Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and served as a volunteer for Vacation Bible School.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Chris Handegard.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Gene Ford of De Kalb, Texas; five daughters and a son-in-law, Terry Handegard of West Palm Beach, Florida, Toni Handegard of West Palm Beach, Florida, Wendy and Jimmy Chambers of Nashville, Arkansas, Vancien Hammond of Liberty Hill, Texas and Rae Ridge of Leary, Texas; two stepdaughters and a stepson-in-law, Sherry McFerran of Nash, Texas and Angie and David Powell of Texarkana, Arkansas; two sisters, Pat Byrne of Sioux City, Iowa and Carol Willsey of Sioux City, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Rev. Jerry Ford and Rev. Roy Ford officiating. Interment will follow at Roberts Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas.
