Born in Spartanburg on March 24, 1937, a son of Eulala Emery Lindsey Morrow and Elijah Garfield Lindsey and was the husband of Durene Geddes Lindsey.
Retired from Spartanburg Sanitary Sewer District and served in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters; Barbara Oliver (Jack) of Boiling Springs, Pam Chawgo (Troy) of Boiling Springs, a son; Robby Lindsey of Wellford, a brother; Gerald Lindsey (Gail) of Boiling Springs, six grandchildren; Haley, Deanna, Ryan, Taylor, Austin, Zachary, and two great grandchildren.
The family received friends Friday, February 17, 2017 from 12:30 until 1:30 at Seawright Funeral Home.
A graveside service followed at Good Shepherd Memorial Park, Boiling Springs, at 2:00 on Friday, February 17, 2017 with Rev. Andy Case and Rev. William Swink officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to Blue Ridge Hospice 839 Main Street Buffalo, SC 29321.
