William Edward Woodsmall, 63, of Salem passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at his home in Salem.

William was born on December 15, 1953, in Burlington the son of Robert Eugene & Anna Marie Bollinger Woodsmall. He attended Mediapolis High School and joined the United States Navy. He made the Navy a full-time career and was honorably discharged in 1978. He served in Vietnam, and the Philippines.

He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers Ernie and David.
