Death of Husband and Wife only Three
Days Apart.
Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Mitchell,
whose deaths are noticed in the
proper place, were born in England.
They came to this country about
fifty-five years ago and raised a
family of eleven children, eight of
whom are now living. Mr. Mitchell
served in the late war, enlisting at
about 55 or 56 years of age and serv
ing until discharged. He drew a pen
sion for disability incurred in the
army. Mrs. Mitchell was an estima
ble Christian woman, highly esteem
ed by those who knew her best.
They both had the pneumonia, and
passed away very soon, only about
three days apart. Mr. Mitchell's
funeral was held Sunday afternoon
and Mrs. Mitchell's on Thursday
afternoon, Rev. R. W. Churchill
conducting both services. Their son
Leonard died in October last.
