She was cast as a comedian early on but later after a MGM contract she appeared in "Now Voyager", "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" (1939),
"Death Takes a Holiday" (1934) and others. She was married in 1925 to William A Brady, Jr. They had one daughter Barbara Alexander Brady

Katharine was also a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Varina Jefferson Davis 252 Chapter, Fort Smith, AR.
