Kevin Marshall Akers, 47, of Navarre, Florida passed away on February 2, 2017.

He was born in Pontiac, Michigan to Imogene and Marshall Akers.

Since he was a child Kevin always loved the water.

He lived for his relaxing time on the water boating, fishing and swimming with his family and friends.

He especially loved riding motorcycles, from sport bikes to his Harley and chopper.

Kevin accomplished many things that his family and friends are very proud of. In 1991 he demonstrated his devotion to his country and joined the Air Force.

His first assignment was Robins AFB, GA where he met his future wife Sherry.

They married in 1994 and started their exciting and wonderful life together traveling the world and raising a beautiful family.

After 21 years of honor and dedication, Kevin retired in 2012.

That same year, he returned to school to become a nurse. He graduated in 2013 and began his second career caring for others.

He recently dedicated his time to becoming a Master Mason and was looking forward to serving his community with his fellow brothers.

Kevin was a devoted and caring husband to his beautiful wife, Sherry and a loving father to his two wonderful and talented children Chiara and Caleb.

He enjoyed watching Chiara at gymnastics and playing her flute and guitar.

He was the most devoted football dad to Caleb and lived for the Navarre Raiders football season.

He will be forever missed by everyone he has touched during his short but meaningful life and will never be forgotten.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Imogene Akers; grandparents, David and Ruth Akers; Jess and Elsie Nelson.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry; children, Chiara (14) and Caleb (12); sister Katrina (Tim) Sutton; nieces and nephews Danielle (Nick) Vukadinovich, T. J. Sutton, Erica (Derrick)Kratt, Harley Sutton, Desiree Sutton; grandniece Roselie Kratt; grandnephew Holden Kratt; Father and mother-in-law Harry and Venda Mohler; sister – in – law Shelly (Saul) Houser; niece and nephew Will Jarrell and Elise Houser; and Brother – in – law Harry (Maenell) Mohler.
