Michael Dale Perry, 68, of Bradenton, passed away on February 10, 2017 at Blake Medical Center in Bradenton.

Michael was born on October 23, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Water and Jeanne (Watts) Perry. He grew up and received his education in the Columbus area.

Following his High School graduation he served his country faithfully during the Vietnam War by serving with the United States Navy. While with the Navy he received the National Defense Service Medal. After his discharge from active duty he continued to serve with the Navy by serving with the United States Naval Reserves.

After his active duty service, Michael returned to the Columbus, Ohio area and worked as a welder. Then in 1982 he moved to Bradenton where he continued to work as a welder until his retirement.

He is survived by his three daughters; Wendi Correa of Southgate, Michigan, Sandy Plumb of Amherst, Ohio, Mederise Fripz of Taylor, Michigan, one brother, Dennis Perry of Bradenton, one sister, Nancy Schoff of Bradenton, six grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends.

A private family service will be held at a later date at the Sarasota National Cemetery where final honors will be performed by the Funeral Honor Detail of the United States Navy.
