EVELYN ALSUA Evelyn was born April 9th, 1915 to Joseph and Margaret {Ambrosetti} Biaggi in Calpine, CA. She finally got her wish to enter heaven on Feb 5th, 2017, at the age of 101. Survived by daughter, Margaret Maderos. Grandchildren, Nolan Rippy, Linda Fregoso, Cathy Karamatic, Roni Laforce, Tony Maderos, Lynnette Berry, Mark Maderos, Barbara Forester, Jeannie Smith and Carmen Korpisz. As well as 24 great -grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Sisters Ida Munso and Elizabeth Breese. She is predeceased by her husband Nikolas Alsua, daughters Bette Rippy and Alice Forester. Grandsons Allen Rippy, Larry Maderos and Kenneth Forester and great -grandson Brandon Laforce. Brothers Marion George, Bill and John Biaggi. Sisters Margaret Dixon and Rose Biaggi. Evelyn grew up on the family cattle ranches in Calpine, Sierra County. The oldest girl of nine she had the chores of milking cows, cooking and assisting with the younger children. Widowed at a very early age and needing to raise her 3 daughters she worked at Oroville County Hospital earning her LVN License. She later worked for Feather River Hospital until her retirement. She was always available to family, friends and neighbors in need of her nursing skills. Evelyn had many interests including collecting and refurbishing dolls, quilting, sewing, making crafts, beautifying her yard and making her delicious pomegranate jelly. A special thank you to the loving staff of The Country Village of Chico and Butte Health and Hospice. A celebration of Life will be held on Friday, Feb 17th at 11:00 am at the Chapel of the Pines at 5691 Almond St. in Paradise, CA. With a reception following the service at St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 767 Elliott Rd. Paradise Ca.
