Grace Salita Ac­cardo, res­i­dent of Dothan passed away on Wednes­day, Feb­ru­ary 8, 2017 at West­side Ter­race. She was 92.

A Mass of Chris­t­ian Bur­ial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sat­ur­day, Feb­ru­ary 11, 2017 at St. Columba Catholic Church Chapel with Fa­ther Johnny Celzo of­fi­ci­at­ing.

A Rosary Prayer Ser­vice will be­gin at 1:30 p.m. En­tomb­ment will fol­low Mass in Sun­set Memo­r­ial Park.

Mrs. Ac­cardo was born on Jan­u­ary 17, 1925 in Lock­port, Louisiana and resided in New Or­leans, LA most of her life un­til mov­ing to Dothan in 1995.

Mrs. Ac­cardo was a cer­ti­fied book­keeper who last worked as sec­re­tary for her late hus­band Nick's busi­ness.

She was a de­voted wife and mother, an amaz­ing cook, a great dancer, a ded­i­cated cross­word puz­zle solver, and a tal­ented seam­stress.

Mrs. Ac­cardo had a strong prayer life and a solid faith, show­ing her love for Christ through serv­ing oth­ers.

Sur­vivors in­clude her daugh­ters Donna Al­bares and her hus­band Robert of Dothan, Lori Smart and her hus­band Foch of Mont­gomery, AL; 7 grand­chil­dren and 3 great-grand­chil­dren, Nicholas Al­bares and his wife Mar­guerite and their sons Robert and Eli­jah, Michael Al­bares, David Al­bares, Tim­o­thy Al­bares, Joshua Smart and his wife Danielle and their daugh­ter Mary Lan­don, Melanie Smart, Jonathan Smart and his wife Ash­ton; sev­eral nieces and nephews also sur­vive.

Mrs. Ac­car­do's grand­sons will serve as ac­tive pall­bear­ers.
