A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at St. Columba Catholic Church Chapel with Father Johnny Celzo officiating.
A Rosary Prayer Service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Entombment will follow Mass in Sunset Memorial Park.
Mrs. Accardo was born on January 17, 1925 in Lockport, Louisiana and resided in New Orleans, LA most of her life until moving to Dothan in 1995.
Mrs. Accardo was a certified bookkeeper who last worked as secretary for her late husband Nick's business.
She was a devoted wife and mother, an amazing cook, a great dancer, a dedicated crossword puzzle solver, and a talented seamstress.
Mrs. Accardo had a strong prayer life and a solid faith, showing her love for Christ through serving others.
Survivors include her daughters Donna Albares and her husband Robert of Dothan, Lori Smart and her husband Foch of Montgomery, AL; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, Nicholas Albares and his wife Marguerite and their sons Robert and Elijah, Michael Albares, David Albares, Timothy Albares, Joshua Smart and his wife Danielle and their daughter Mary Landon, Melanie Smart, Jonathan Smart and his wife Ashton; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Mrs. Accardo's grandsons will serve as active pallbearers.
