Obituary
Uncle Les lived his life with the strength of independence, a generous heart and a gift for sharing captivating stories with humour and enthusiasm. He travelled from Mount Imus and Summerfield, Jamaica to settle in Detroit, Michigan where he developed many close friendships and enjoyed his Bakery career with A&P and Sanders. After retiring, Palm Bay, Florida became his home. He took pride in tending his beautiful gardens and welcomed many celebrations of laughter and camaraderie. On Tuesday March 21st, 2017, Leslie Chin peacefully entered into God's Kingdom while under the compassionate care of Holmes Regional Medical Center following residency at Atlantic Shores Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Melbourne, Florida. Brother Les will be missed by his siblings Winnifred, Lewis (Carmen), Eula, Daisy, Seuin, Carmel, Lusang, Fitzroy (Ruth), Nellie, Karlene, as well as many loving cousins, nieces, grandnieces, nephews, grandnephews and friends both near and far. Predeceased by brother Morris, Cecil and sisters Enid, Eunace, Inez and Mavis. Uncle Les' angelic voice can still be heard singing: "It is well" and "May the Lord be with you, 'til we meet again".
A visitation will be held at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock St. SE, Palm Bay, Florida on Tuesday, March 28th from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. An extended visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 29th from 9:00 am to 10:00 am followed by the funeral service at 10:00 am.
