LEXINGTON: Services for Edith Preston, 82, will be held 11am Friday, July 28, 2006, at First Church of the Nazarene, she will be placed one hour prior to service in the church, officiating will be Pastor Geoff Kunselman. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday, July 27, 2006 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Memorials may be made to First Church of the Nazarene Building Fund, St. Andrews Road, Columbia, SC.
Mrs. Preston died July 24, 2006. Born in Newberry, SC she was the daughter of the late Ernest S. and Margaret Ann King Dickert. She was a former employee of Columbia Music Festival Association, former member of the South Carolina Horse Show Association, and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are her husband, John W. Preston, Sr. of Lexington; sons, James D. Preston of Greenville, SC; Jerry S. Preston (JoAnne) of Canton, GA; and Jack Preston (Claudia) of Lexington, SC.; sister, Elizabeth Rodelsperger (Fred) of Newberry, SC.; and six grandchildren, Jay, Jamie, Christy, Justin, Christopher, and Timothy Preston.
