Mrs. Edward (Bernice) Albrecht, 63, of Clare died Tuesday morning Feb. 23, at Humboldt County Memorial Hospital, Humboldt, following an illness with cancer. Services will be held at Laufersweiler Funeral Home, Fort Dodge, Iowa, at 9:45 a.m. and at 10;30 a.m. at St Matthew's Catholic Church, Clare , with burial in the parish cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Robert English, Duane Albrecht, Marvin Scheideman, Don Yetmar, William J. McElroy and Joseph Cunningham.

Among the survivors are her husband, Edward;sons, Thomas, Dakota City; Charles, Renwick; Dale, Liberal, Kan.; Darrel, Clare; James, Fort DOdge; John, Fort Dodge; daughter, Mrs. Steven (Anna Marie) Frohling, Osceola; nine grandchildren;; sisters, Mrs. Isabelle Slattery, Laurens; Mrs. Don (Eldora) Francis, Pocahontas; Mrs. Al (Luella) Vodraska, Pocahontas; Mrs. Harold (Arvilla) Portth, Watertown, S.D.; brothers, Clem Alig, Pocahontas and Goerge Alig, Fonda.

Bernice was born at Pocahontas, attended early school at Ware and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Pocahontas. She married Edward Albrecht in 1939 at Sacred Heart Church in Pocahontas, and they established their home on a farm near Clare where they lived since that time.

Mrs. Albrecht was a member of of the Catholic Order of Foresters and St. Matthew Alter Society.
