Bud was born in Hartsville a son of the late Edward S. McLendon, Sr. and Annie Mae Mixon McLendon. He was a member of Savannah Advent Christian Church, he had owned and operated Bud’s Country Store and also with McLendon Brothers Store in Kelleytown. He loved to go fishing for Crappie at Lake Jordan and enjoyed farming. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and loved being around people.
Surviving are his wife, Carolyn McKenzie McLendon, Hartsville; two daughters, Karen (Gary) Lukridge, Summerville and Lisa (Mike) Lewis, Hartsville; four grandchildren, Bethany McLendon, Summerville, Sara Lukridge, Summerville, Kayla Lewis, Hartsville and Ellen Folk, Clemson; one brother, Rev. Charles (Barbara) McLendon, Hartsville; one sister, Sidney (Billy) Beasley, Hartsville.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Jackie Steele and Joyce Brigman.
