Our angel mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Diane Bartholomew Taylor, returned to her heavenly home at the age of 70 on February 6, 2017 at home surrounded by her loved ones after patiently battling heart and kidney disease for several years. Thank you to all of those who assisted and cared for her during this difficult time.

Diane was born May 7, 1946, in Payson, Utah, the daughter of Dwight Bartholomew and Bernice Teasdale. She enjoyed arts and crafts, painting, clogging, game shows, crossword puzzles, decorating, collecting (especially nutcrackers, angels and butterflies), piano, organ, accordion and inspirational music. Diane graduated from Springville High School, completed her certification at Utah Technical College, participated twice in the Miss Springville Pageant, and did clerical work at both a real estate and lumber company before marrying Marlowe Taylor on August 15, 1970 and living in Salt Lake County for several years. After having 4 children and divorcing she moved to Spanish Fork for a few years and then back to Springville where she spent the majority of her adult life. In addition to diligently raising her children, Diane worked as a Deputy Court Clerk at the Fourth District Juvenile Court for 12 years. She enjoyed spending time, as a member and employee, at the Springville Senior Center for 10 years until her health failed. Diane was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who loved attending and serving at the temple and in many other Church callings; she especially loved being a chorister for many years. Diane had a genuineness and kindness about her; and always strived to help everyone. Her smile was contagious. Diane was a giving person until the end, donating her body to the University of Utah for the advancement of medical education and science.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents: Dwight (Bernice) Bartholomew and her youngest sister: Kay Wride. She is survived by her brother: Errol (Susie) Bartholomew and sisters: Janet (Blake) Carter and Linda Bartholomew; her children: Wendy (Ed) Everhart, Karen (Van) Riding, Wade (Melody) Taylor and Kevin (Elisa) Taylor; her grandchildren: Cristina, Giovanni, Casie, Alyssa, Brayden, Makenna, Kaylee, Spencer, Grant, Nathan, Summer; and her great-grandchild: Luna; and many other relatives and close friends.
