He married Sabina Weigel on 19 Nov 1851 and they had 3 children listed in the 1857 Herzog census. His church death record mistakenly lists him as Andreas Weigel leaving a wife, Sabina Weigel. He died 29 Mar 1870 in Herzog at the age of 37. Cause of death was chest disease.
