She is listed as Katharine and Katharine Befort in the 1850 and 1857 Herzog census, respectively. However, all the Russian church records pertaining to her marriage, death and birth of her children listed her as Margaret. Two church records in the US also listed her as Margaret, the death of son Nicholas in St. Peter, KS and the second marriage of daughter Barbara to Andreas Linenberger in Victoria, KS where she is listed as Margaret nee Befort. Margaret Befort is probably the daughter of Anton Befort and wife Anna Elisabeth ? listed in the 1834 Obermonjou, Russia census and born 1822. She died 31 Aug 1860 in Herzog.
