Sarah Ellen Davison, 106, Ashland, died Tuesday afternoon at Jacksonville Convalescent Center in Jacksonville, Illinois. She was Cass County's oldest resident at the time of her death. Mrs. Davison was born in Martin County, Indiana 18 July 1875, daughter of Frances D. and Eliza Pruitt Neal. She married John B. Davison 8 October 1893 in Martin County, Indiana. Mr. Davison died in 1947. Survivors include six daughters: Mrs. Raymond (Dorotha) Kerley of Jacksonville; Mrs. Lloyd (Eula) Wankel of rural Sinclair; Mrs. Roy (Ethel) McMillan of New Berlin; Mrs. John (Nell) Cooley and Mrs. Ralph (Grace) Jones, both of Kissimmee, Florida; and Mrs. Dale (Bernita) Chapman of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Grant and Bert, and three sisters and a brother. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Massie Funeral Home in Ashland. Burial will be in Ashland City Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
