Cindy was born on October 12, 1956, daughter of the late Joseph and Eva Zupec. Through her journey, Cindy silently strengthened those around her. She never feared losing to Cancer. Cindy had already won. She beat cancer in the way she lived, why she lived and in the manner in which she lived. If you knew Cindy you were better because of it.
Cindy graduated from Waukegan High School Class of 1974. She then started her career and retired from Abbott Laboratories after 31 years. Cindy was strong in her faith, and was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Wadsworth, IL. She enjoyed spending time with the ones she loved, going to the casino, shopping, traveling and laying out by her pool.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years Michael, daughter Kelly and son Kevin. Her brother Joseph (Mary Alice) Zupec, sisters Sandra (John) Knobbe and Debra (Greg) Yanik. Nieces and Nephews, Julie (Alex) Johnson, Jenny (David) Morse, Kristin (Corey) Canfield, Johnny (Yarissma) Knobbe, Mathew Yanik, Aunt Joan Zupec and the entire Zupec family.
Friends and family are invited to extend condolences and share memories at a visitation that will be held on Tuesday February 7, 2017 from 9am to 12 (noon) at Church of St. Patrick, 15000 Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth, IL followed by a mass of celebration starting at 12 (noon).
