Donna E. Hicks, 77, of Frontenac, died January 31, 2017 at Girard Medical Center.
She was born September 25, 1939 in Limon, CO the daughter of Ira V. and Cordelia Smith Tullis.
She had been an area resident since 1978, moving from Emporia, KS.
She married Robert L. Hicks on July 29, 1971 at Emporia, KS. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2016.
Mrs. Hicks worked as a meat cutter for 15 years at IBP in Emporia and for 30 years at Primdor in Pittsburg, until her retirement in 2002.
She was a member of the Baptist Church and the Pittsburg American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include four daughters Diana Marie Gorges of Joplin, MO, Christina Hatfield of Pittsburg, Lisa Edwards of Cherryvale and Tina Marie Smith of Florida, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, two sisters, one great-grandson and one great-great-granddaughter.
Graveside services will be 2 pm, Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Pittsburg Garden of Memories Cemetery with Rev. Jacob Taylor, of the Cherryvale Christian Church, officiating.
A dinner will be served at the St. John Lutheran Church at noon on Friday, February 3, 2017, prior to the services.
