Shackelford County Memorial Hospital Monday following an illness of several months.
Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church and burial was in the Albany Cemetery. Masonic rites were conducted at the graveside.
He was born in bryan April 7, 1894, where he was reared. He came to Albany 42 years ago and had made this his home since.
Mr. Stewart operated the Merchants Fast Motor freight delivery here for a number o years. and was then Conoco agent. He served three terms as county commissioner of precinct No. 2, and his son, joe Stewart, have operated Joe's Premier Station on Hill Top.
He was a member of the Christian Church, and belonged to the Masonic Lodge and Order of the Eastern Star.
